I guess I'm not surprised that you're without wifi in Corsica, I think they do enjoy being unique and a bit untamed! Have a wonderful trip and can't wait to read about it. Thanks so much for including me in your roundup - Marseille is such a fantastic place to live and I love seeing it get the love it deserves. And I'm excited to check out the other writers, merci beaucoup!
Honestly being without it was kind of nice haha! I do think if we stay in France long term there’s a good chance we’ll end up moving to Marseille, maybe some day we’ll be neighbors haha
Hi Alex, Would love to connect here. Originally from the wine country in CA. Married to a Croatian Currently, living in Rome.
I've spent the last two decades bouncing back and forth every summer to Croatia and surrounding areas, remodeled an old stone house on island of Hvar and starting a retreat business.
Iraq is one of the most special and fascinating countries I've been to. Despite everything we as Americans have been sold, the Iraqi people are some of the warmest, most hospitable human beings in the world. I'd highly recommend anyone with a little travel saviness to add it to their list - although I'm afraid the orange turd's antics and war may have set the regions opportunity for tourism back another decade.
That said, I've spent the majority of the last 5 years in Nepal, Thailand, and Cambodia. If any of your readers are interested in stories from, or have questions about, those places feel free to reach out - I know a guy.
Aww, Alex, thank you, you're too kind, much appreciated 🤗
I'm going to check some of these writers out, I've been reading Diana's Femme Collective a fair bit lately and I already know Leave it to Anna well. I'm intrigued by Gabrielle's Sardinia newsletter, it's a place I've wanted to visit for some time. Maybe even Corsica too - and sometimes not having wifi can be a wonderful thing, right?
I love learning about Sardinia through Gabrielle’s writing, I wanted to include Sardinia on this trip but just didn’t have enough time. It’s actually quite nice to not have wifi for a few days 😊
What great company here - I’m subscribing to some new Substacks! Love this post!
Couldn’t agree more!
So glad to hear that, thanks!

Hey! Great to meet you. That all sounds really interesting and exciting!
What a great way to share other travel writers on here! I love seeing this kind of spirit on substack. It’s what separates this platform from others.
I also really enjoy the community on here! Thanks for reading!
What a fun roundup of writers! Looking forward to some new voices in my inbox.
Thanks for putting this together, Alex. And for including me!! 😘
Of course! Hope you enjoy them
Thanks for the love, Alex.
